In Punjab, baskets are woven by Sarkanda straw, which is once again mixed with other elements to make beautiful baskets. Basketry is an art form originating from the very state of Punjab, where numerous men and women started weaving baskets in their free time, just because they felt like it, making handcrafted baskets a household material.
