At first, you have to shred the smoked pork into small pieces. Heat some oil in the pan and add the sauté accordingly, fry the crushed ginger and garlic for some time. Then add fresh oyster mushrooms and sprinkle some salt over the dish. After a few minutes add pork, chopped chilies; henceforward pour water and simmer after putting a lid on the pan. Once the dish is dry, add baby spinach leaves and stir. Serve with steaming rice.

2. Misa Mach Poora

misa-mach-pooraThis is a shrimp dish popular in Mizoram. To prepare this dish, you will require half a pound of shrimp, salt, two dozen Peppercorns, Mustard Oil, Coriander Powder, Lime Juice and Pepper Powder.

At first, you have to peel and clean them shrimps. Marinate the prawns in a solution of turmeric powder and add salt for some time. Boil water and put the coriander powder and peppercorns into the mixture. After which, you add them shrimps and cook for some time. Drain the water and place these shrimps in a bowl. Pour a small amount of oil on those boiled shrimps. Heat a pan and pour some oil in it while you grill the shrimp on both sides. Before serving the dish, you can sprinkle lime juice on it.

3. Cauliflower Stalk Bai 

cauliflower-stalk-baiBai is a major dish in Mizoram. To prepare this dish, you will need Cauliflower stalks, florets, cubed potatoes, Green Beans, Red Chillies, salt and cooked rice. You will also need baking soda in small quantities.

Primarily you need to boil the given salt and baking soda in fresh water. Consequently, add the given amount of rice and stir it for some minutes. Next, pour all the other ingredients you have and cook till everything becomes soft and mashed. Bai is best served when hot.
